the reason

the mere reason
i would strive for
and
damn the consequences
would be the thirst
the thirst for a drop of water
the hunger for a slice of bread.

What if
the cold fallen streets don't give the warmth
what if
the passersby give me "why on earth are they born" look
the reason comes alive
to wrap me in a blanket warmth
to pity for the human
yet to become humane
to empathize me
for the cacophony of those swear, hatred words.

samaya le kati bela tyo pal ma malai puryaula
ani arko yaad banaula
kasai kasai ko yaad le kasto satayo malai

parts n parcels

life
is parts and parcels..
of small things..of pieces joined together
of things we know..of things we try to know..
of things we try to solve..we try to understand
but it remains
as enigmatic as the black hole
as vague as the god
and in the end
we are compelled to say
this is life.
life
is parts and parcels
not always delivered to the correct address.
not always delievered with all the pieces together.

the life colors

I was looking at the sun going down
and beautiful colors it was revealing
the world never seemed so colorful
everything was a color in itself
like the blossoming spring
breathing out the different colors of life

the colors of a new born baby
aroma of a newborn color
colors falling off the eyes
and colors of happiness in the air

the youth colors
the colors speeding in top gear
colors looking beyond the horizon
the colors wishing they have everything they want

the aged colors
the fading and wrinkled colors
the colors looking back the way
they had come from and
wishing they should have turned left .... right...gone straight
heave a sigh and say well i'm here

the death colors
the non-negotiable colors
the colors that always waited to fill you up
the colors that painted your portrait.

the falling leaves

look at the falling leaves
see them being blown away
no! no ! no!!!
don't blame the wind
and don't blame the trees
for letting them fall
if the leaves are not
why should you
if you were the leaf
you were to blame
the wind
the tree.

the leaves were dry
that their fault was
put yourself in this frame
and wait for the autumn to hover
you will find your roots trembling
when you feel the winds strength
and trees ignorance.

better to be a pearl in an oyster
and remain in the depth of the ocean
than a dry leaf
and blow away with the wind;
you need not blame the wind
the tree
after all.
